greedy groupie, redux... or sorry for slacking
so... yes, i've been a blogslacker. sorry 'bout that.
anyway, i'm at work right now, and it's actually fairly busy, but i thought i'd toss you a little snack-post to tide you over.
last night K and i saw Alexi Murdoch at Cafe du Nord, for Noise Pop! 2007. despite having rude people cutting in front of me and obscuring my view (i had to ask a rudy to take off her hat, because i couldn't see... she opted to move aside instead), the show was pretty great. Alexi was modest and as talented as ever. he even played a few songs with the help of some members of one of the cover bands, Midnight Movies. i have to say, though, that i prefer him solo. even still, the show was great, and he played my favorite song, "Wait."
the only thing that sucked was that Alexi didn't go on until about midnight, which made the show end after 1 am! i didn't get home until about 1:30... and i had to be here at 6 am to open!!! soooooooo cruel.
in other news, um... i have no other news. school is chugging away, and i'm trying really hard to like my projects. Spring Break is in a few weeks, so that should be fun. K wants to take me to Napa. yesterday was our 10 monthiversary (well, technically the 29th is, but that's not possible for February). we've not taken a trip together yet, so it should be fun! Napa is always a good time.
anyway... i think i need to grab something to eat. a girl cannot survive on a Venti Caramel Macchiato and knock-off Teddy Grahams from Trader Joe's alone.
hope everyone has a stellar weekend!
