yeariversary and a tea party
hey y’all—
this past weekend, i celebrated two milestones: turning thirty (again) and one year with K.
friday, K made me dinner! i was very impressed by his cooking prowess when he busted out rosemary new potatoes, baked salmon and asparagus. we toasted with some Sofia (Coppola) sparkling wine and exchanged presents... i bought K a Dualit toaster (handmade in England), hopefully the last one he’ll ever own. he’s been drooling over them for about, oh, ten years or so. the one i got him looks like this:

if you REALLY like toast, i highly recommend this beaut.
since he got me something practical for my birthday (a digital pen tablet for school), he opted for something more gift-y for our yeariversary... a gift certificate for a facial and a lovely pair of earrings from Tiffany & Co., which look like these:
beautiful, no? they are little works of art expressed in sterling...
on saturday, i celebrated my 30th again with some friends at Lovejoy’s. it’s always a treat going there, and it was nice to see some friends i haven’t seen in a while. i don’t have a picture to post, because i forgot to have our server take one. oh well. i have the memories. and the extra calories from the cupcakes. ;)
the next two weeks will be pretty hellish, as finals are just around the corner. so, if you’re wondering where i am, i’m probably in my room, buried under a stack of projects...
i can’t believe it’s May already! where does the time go?
(maybe it’s with my brown velour pants and they’re having a party without me...)
