Tales of Anemic Girl... Part One
ok... so i know i haven’t written on my blog in FOREVS, but i have had good reason.
i’m currently writing this entry from the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, where i’ve been since Friday morning... it’s a long story as to how i got here (especially since i was in San Francisco this time last week!), but i came to the Emergency Room and have been here ever since. i even spent one night in the ICU! (THAT was scary and definitely an experience).
anyway... i just thought i’d share that with those of you who read this, but with whom i don’t speak on a regular basis. the doctors (and i’ve seen quite a few) still don’t know what’s wrong with me, but they are fairly certain that i have a rare type of anemia. i feel like That Patient on shows like “House” or “ER” that no one can diagnose... i am a Resident’s wet dream.
when i have more energy, i will write a longer post detailing how i got to be here and any updates that i might have. i feel ok, but get tired easily... so i have to take it kinda slow.
and for those of you whom have been praying for me and keeping me in your thoughts.... my heartfelt thank yous. i was pretty scared when i first got here, but i’ve kind of resolved to leave it up to the doctors and medical professionals who know what they’re doing (even if i am a mystery to them).
