Tales of Anemic Girl... Back in the Hospital

Just a quick post from the Perpetually Sick Girl, yours truly.

I'm back in the hospital again, yay!

I came to the ER on Friday night and have been here ever since. It's hard to say when I'll be able to leave because I have a really nasty skin infection on my upper thigh/groin region.

I think it started while I was in San Francisco, or maybe earlier... I remember nicking myself while shaving and then developing a red, hot welt. It progressively got bigger, harder and hotter, and by the time I got back to Texas, I wasn't able to walk onto/off the plane. All last week, I suffered (needlessly) thinking the swelling would go down. But on Friday, I just couldn't take the pain anymore so we came to the hospital. I've been on some serious antibiotics ever since, and have even received morphine for the pain.

So, for those of you keeping score, this is my fourth trip to the ER and my third hospital admission. I've been in the hospital so many times, the staff (from nurses to porters) remember me!
